Mummy and me ballet class
Every Thursday 10.00 to 11.15 (class will be taught in english)
Teacher: Manami
Every Thursday 13.00 to 14.15.15 (class will be taught in english or dutch)
Teacher: Jaya
Enjoy movement and ballet together with your baby (aged 1-10 months, not yet walking). This gentle ballet class is designed for parents who want to move and dance during their baby’s early months. The class includes ballet exercises that allow adults to explore a wide range of movement and enjoy the freedom of dance. The exercises also support postpartum recovery and help strengthen core muscles.

Autumn classes
Classes run weekly, except during school holiday (on the week of october 12th there will be no classes). Includes 16 lessons.
Autumn has already started, we accepts dancers year round. Simply contact us (info@amsterdamamateurballet.com) to join after the start of the term, we always accept new little dancers!

Kinder Herfst Termijn Pre-Ballet (3 & 4 jaar oud)
Een speelse kennismaking met beweging en muziek, waarbij jonge dansers basiscoördinatie, ritme en verbeelding ontdekken door middel van leuke oefeningen en creatieve dans. Deze cursus vindt wekelijks plaats en omvat 16 lessen (exclusief schoolvakanties).
Deze les wordt gegeven in het Nederlands.
Kledingvoorschrift: aansluitende kleding is prima (een balletoutfit is natuurlijk ook mogelijk!). Sokken, balletschoenen of turnschoenen zijn toegestaan (buitenschoenen zijn niet toegestaan in de studio).
Haar: uit het gezicht, in een knot of paardenstaart.
Elke Zaterdag 8.30-9.15
Kids Autumn Term Pre-Ballet (Ages 3 & 4)
A playful introduction to movement and music, where young dancers explore basic coordination, rhythm, and imagination through fun exercises and creative dance. This class runs weekly and includes 16 classes (excluding school holiday).
This class will be taught in English and Dutch as the teacher is bilingual.
Deze les wordt gegeven in het Engels en Nederlands, aangezien de docent tweetalig is.
Dress code : any form fitting clothes are fine (ballet outfit is of course possible!), hair: out of the face in a bun or ponytail Socks, ballet slippers, gymnastics shoes are fine (no outdoor shoes are allowed in the studio)
Every Saturday 9.30am-10.15am
Kinder Herfst Termijn Early-Ballet (5 & 6 jaar oud)
Voortbouwend op de basisvaardigheden introduceert deze les eenvoudige balletpassen, houding en muzikaliteit in een stimulerende en gestructureerde omgeving. Deze cursus vindt wekelijks plaats en omvat 16 lessen (exclusief schoolvakanties). Deze les wordt gegeven in het Nederlands.
Kledingvoorschrift: balletschoenen, aansluitende kleding is prima (een balletoutfit wordt uiteraard aanbevolen).
Haar: uit het gezicht, bij voorkeur in een knot.
Elke Zaterdag 10.30-11.15
Kids Autumn Term Early-Ballet (Ages 5 & 6)
Building on foundational skills, this class introduces simple ballet steps, posture, and musicality in an encouraging and structured environment. This class runs weekly and includes 16 classes (excluding school holiday).
This class will be taught in English and Dutch as the teacher is bilingual.
Deze les wordt gegeven in het Engels en Nederlands, aangezien de docent tweetalig is.
Dress code : ballet slippers, any form fitting clothes are fine (ballet outfit is of course recommended). Hair: out of the face preferably in a bun.
Every Saturday 11.30am-12.15pm
Kids Autumn Term Ballet 1 (Ages 7- 9)
Students begin formal ballet training, learning basic technique, positions, and terminology while developing strength, flexibility, and confidence. This class runs weekly and includes 16 classes (excluding school holiday).
This class will be taught in English and Dutch as the teacher is bilingual.
Deze les wordt gegeven in het Engels en Nederlands, aangezien de docent tweetalig is.
This class will participate in our production of the Nutcracker (on december 13th).
Dress code : ballet slippers, ballet tights and leotard (no colour preference), Hair: out of the face preferably in a bun. Form fitting leg warmer and jackets are possible.

Friday 15-15.45 for age 5 to 8.
Ballet voor iedereen (Leeftijd 5–8)
Deze les is afgestemd op prikkelovergevoeligheid en is inclusief; leerlingen met speciale behoeften zijn welkom. De les bestaat uit maximaal 5 leerlingen.
This lesson is sensory friendly and inclusive, special need students are welcome. This class runs with a maxium of 5 students.

Our Children’s progam Teacher: Jaya Celeste
Jaya started her lifelong dance adventure at the age of 6 in Eugene, Oregon. Over the next decade, she trained extensively both at home and at notable schools such as Alonzo Kings Lines, School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, the Princess Grace Academy, and the Dutch National Ballet, culminating in her placement in the Professional Division at Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle. However, her love of Europe brought her back to the Netherlands as a trainee at the Dutch National Ballet Academy where she toured for one season with The Het Junior Company under Ernst Meisner. She is currently a freelance artist participating in dance films, music videos, and most recently Rogier Roeters live theatre experience entitled “DeRealisatie”. Jaya is thrilled to be able to share her joy, dedication and passion with the students of AAB!
Jaya begon haar levenslange dansavontuur op zesjarige leeftijd in Eugene, Oregon. In het daaropvolgende decennium volgde zij intensieve trainingen, zowel thuis als aan gerenommeerde scholen zoals Alonzo Kings Lines, School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, de Princess Grace Academy en Het Nationale Ballet, wat uiteindelijk leidde tot haar plaatsing in de professionele afdeling van Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle.
Haar liefde voor Europa bracht haar echter terug naar Nederland, waar zij als trainee aan de Nationale Balletacademie studeerde en één seizoen tourde met het Junior Company van Het Nationale Ballet onder leiding van Ernst Meisner.
Momenteel is zij freelance artiest en werkt zij mee aan dansfilms, muziekvideo’s en recentelijk aan de live theaterervaring van Rogier Roeters getiteld “DeRealisatie”. Jaya is verheugd om haar plezier, toewijding en passie te kunnen delen met de leerlingen van AAB!
