Absolute beginner II
Step a bit more in to the ballet world with our absolute beginner II course.
Design for those who followed our absolute beginner I course, or for those with minimal experience in ballet. You don’t need flexibility. You don’t need to “be graceful.” You just need the smallest spark of curiosity.
Each week, for one hour amd fifteen, we’ll step into the basics together, progressing to even more exercises and more center work. Slowly. Kindly. Without pressure. Without perfection.
Six weeks. 1h15 per week. Small group (6 people maximum)
This course runs weekly for 6 weeks, on Wednesday at 18h. (May 13th until June 17th)
Répertoire workshop: La fille mal gardée
During this workshop you will learn Lise Variation from La fill mal gardée with Savina Marasi.
Intermediate level and up.
The 3h workshop includes a 1h warm up, 20min pointe warm up for those wishing to do the vatiation on pointe (not mandatory) and 1h30min of répertoire.
Pointe welcome but not mandatory.
Pas de deux workshop:
In this workshop we will work on the basis of pas de deux with a guest teacher Alexander Negron.
No prior pas de deux experience needed
Open for advanced beginner and up.
Pointe shoes welcome but not mandatory!
Creative residency: The Firebird
A four-day ballet intensive by Amsterdam Amateur Ballet. We will work on the creative process of our new production for Spring 2027: The Firebird (music: Stravinski).
We will meet for 4h each day (includes a 30min warm up) and create in a collaborative manner some dances from the ballet.
